Lost Shutterbug: Sunset

The Mighty Sun changes role as frequently as heroine changes clothes in a bollywood song. Sometimes it is villain (scorching summer day) sometimes hero (most needed buddy in winters) ,sometimes an inspiration(coming out from dark in dawn) sometimes a friend(when you want to be just lonely and quiet while watching sun set).Out of all, my personal favorite is the beautiful sunset. Sunrise can give it a close run for money, but it's little hard for me to actually watch it, not being one of the morning-person-types. Take me to any picturesque location and I will wait for sunset to come to magnify the place's beauty to two-folds. Sunset takes me to an entirely different parallel plane and I can be caught watching it sitting silently in a corner. Sometimes try to capture it in camera; otherwise, those beautiful moments are painted in the memory.

Here sharing some pictures of sunsets which I have collected in my various trips to beautiful places. Each one of these has some memories tagged to it, making it such special  and memorable to me.

One fine day, during training we all decided to visit Mount Abu, Rajasthan. A point famous for its sunset view was soon selected to spend the evening. Sometimes, selecting too famous a point mars the actual beauty, with herds marching to that place to view the same. But finally managed to get some peace and pictures.

Situated in the heart of Ahmedabad, Kankariya is an artificial lake where above picture is clicked. It glowed with such beauty at the sunset that I could not resist myself from taking numerous pictures while boating. The picture whispers silently the proverb of ‘I, me and myself’: the most prevalent nowadays.(Notice the nature’s i)

Being an avid admirer of sunsets, I didn’t miss a chance of catching one in my Diu trip. Tracked down on a ‘path less travelled’ with a cousin, armed with determination to find one. It was a lonely spot with such serenity.

While being on trip to vaishno devi, one is encountered with such nice views of valley and nature around that missing a sunset is not possible. Pure and divine it was .Sun setting behind the mountains like we used to paint in our childhood.

The last eve of an eventful 2011 came to a beautiful end for me while I was in Shimla. Being with friends and laughing all the way .It was nature way to show the real ‘VIBGYOR’ marking an end to all sorrows and beginning of all joys.

Later, Life will have its own sunset, till then keep getting mesmerized by the nature’s lovely way of hinting that everything meets its end like the mighty sun bows down and kiss the earth at the horizon.
