Delhi ,a typical north Indian region remains non-typical in terms of food varieties it offer. Chinese momos are one such dish which one would not expect to find much here. But being capital and much inflex of momo loving population ,Delhi has welcomed momos with such love that now you can find momos  being sold at every nook and corner of the city. Available in varieties of steamed or fried ,veg or non-veg. Steamed veg momos remain my favorites.

At my college time, Momo’s Point at Kamla Nagar was (and is still) our favorite specially for the momos and chilly potatoes. The lane near MacDonalds, Kamla Nagar boosts of a series of such Chinese eateries but Momo’s point still pulls the maximum crowd and you can see some people always waiting outside for the seats. What makes it different than the rest is its tasty food and average pricing. Though the ambience used to be little shady till some time ago. But now it is renovated and better.

The Chilly potatoes I get here is the most sumptuous I have found anywhere and I love it so much that it sometime visits me in dreams. The sauce in which crispy potato shreds are tossed in has nice chilli and tangy flavors .The hotness of the sauce is well balanced by the cabbage strips served alongside. Another variation comes as honey chilli potatoes which has sweetness of honey in it to give it a hot and sweet touch.

Momos here are big in size compared to others, reasonable in price and come with a very nice red chilly sauce which deserves a menton.Outlet has recently come up with spicey variation of momos ,which has the inside filing mixed with red hot chilli sauce in good amount. It has good variety of non-veg too including pork, chicken, mutton.
Singapore chowmein ,chilly garlic noddles, vegetable chopsey and thupka  are other dishes to try here. Quantity served is nice. These all dishes are well accompanied by fruit beer which is regular order there at every table.A good recommendation if you like your momos to be spicy.

 Today Food for Thought:

Get high on Food, there would be no hangovers!!

Happy Gorging!!

Yah! unless some sees it, no one is gonna believe that Delhi is actually kind of a momo hub. It's available everywhere from streets to shops and restaurants.
